Posted on July 30, 2013 | Leave a commentAs Mt. Tateyama is the active volcano, the alpine flowers are not so various at the field. The flower at the photo was  blooming in the area that was filled with the smoke of the volcano.Leave a commentPosted in Uncategorized

Mt. Tateyama and campers, August 2009

Posted on July 30, 2013 | Leave a commentMt. Tateyama is the precipitous mountain that I love the most in the many mountains in Japan. We went its foot and walked around afar seeing the severe mountain’s cliffs from here and there. It was a really fantastic experience for us. Seeing the mountain is my and wife’s long desire. Many family, hikers, travelers and genuine climbers were gathering al over Japan and overseas. Their camping base is located below under the mountain bottom. Looking down the scene gave us also very fine feeling for the mountain and the climbers.Leave a commentPosted in Uncategorized

Mt. Tateyama, Mountain of Japan

Posted on July 30, 2013 | Leave a commentMt. Tateyama is one of the most precipitous mountains in Japan. “Tate” in its name means “precipitous” in English and “yama” means “mountain”. I love this mountain probably the most in many high mountains in Japan. The ridge travelers before Mt.TateyamaMt. Tateyama and hikersLeave a commentPosted in Uncategorized
